Smiles of Strength
Miles of Smiles is now offering the opportunity for individuals with cancer to experience the emotional and physical benefits of Equine Assisted Activites. This experience will be provided through approximately one hour lessons conducted by a certified PTH, Intl. instructor offering opportunities to interact with the program's therapy horses in mounted and unmounted activities.
The cost for individuals is $25.00 per one hour group lesson, $35.00 per one hour private lesson. Sponsorships are available for all clients to receive services at NO COST.

Drug Addiction/Recovery Help
Drug addiction is a chronic, progressive disease of the body and psyche. It is characterized by intense cravings, compulsive drug use, risky behaviors, negative consequences, and poor interpersonal relationships. Relapse is common among drug addicts without proper addiciton treatment, which includes relapse prevention education and aftercare planning.

St. Catherine Hospice Offers Grief Recovery Workshops and Support Group
St. Catherine Hospice Program sponsors FREE Educational Grief Workshops at St. Catherine Hospice Conference Room, 602 N. 6th, Garden City, KS, usually on Tuesday evenings, 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Group topics cover such things as normal grief, myths of grief, tips on handling holidays and other special occasions, needs of mourning, helping others heal.
